Abstract
Inventories of fuel oil continues to thin out trying to encourage people not to rely entirely by fossil fuels, with the search for fuel that is easy to get, easy to be processed and environmentally friendly. One such fuel is gaseous Hydrogen-Hydrogen-Oxygen (HHO), which is a result of gas by electrolysis of water using electricity. Until now only the HHO gas as a fuel to be mixed with fuel oil in motor vehicles. In the test, the motor will be connected to the test tube volume settings HHO gas through the intake manifold. HHO gas volume adjustment tube serves as a regulator of the entry of the volume flow rate HHO gas into the intake manifold. Three variations of HHO gas volume flow rate tested of 6.5 ml / s, 11 ml / s, and 13.5 ml / s. The test results stated that the torque and power increased 2.5% and 3.22% on the use of HHO generator with HHO gas volume flow rate of 13.5 ml / s compared with standard conditions and decreased specific fuel consumption of 17.84% . In emission testing states that the greatest reduction in HC levels obtained in the HHO gas volume flow rate 11 ml / s by 50.7% to 6,000 rpm motor rotation. Declining levels of CO obtained in most HHO gas volume flow rate 13.5 ml / s by 79.5% to 4,000 rpm motor rotation. Declining levels of NOx largest obtained in HHO gas volume flow rate 6.5 ml / s by 67.3% to 5,000 rpm motor rotation.
