Abstract
Layout is a way to arrange space (room) which is used by man, material, machine, and any kind of production device. Principally, spaces arrangement will consider 3 dimensional (cubic space) views, not just floor space view. Then, facilities planning layout has a lot of focus in this space requirement. Besides, the movement of the material, machine, and man will be happen in 1 of 3 directions, x, y, and z direction. An optimum layout facility planning will have a great effort to solve this kind of space requirement problem and try to figure it out. That is why, we think about rearrangement of space required needed in Finished Goods Storage at DJARUM SKM, Co. Gribig, to achieve the best product movement. We use 2 methods in this research, namely Dedicated Storage Method and Class-based Dedicated Storage Method. The results show that the method proposed layout arrangement of goods in the initial conditions only groups of products based on a variant, not the frequency of the number of goods in the warehouse of finished goods. The results of calculation of the current warehouse layout, mileage is needed goods in the warehouse of finished goods are 3059493635.165 meters. The results of calculation of the proposed layout of finished goods warehouse with Dedicated Storage method, the mileage needed goods in the warehouse of finished goods, based on the average trip 2104116609,820 meters, based on the maximum trip 3064617582,692 meters, and minimum trip is 1304563534, 992 meters. The results of calculation of the proposed layout of finished goods warehouse to Class Based Storage method, the mileage needed goods in the warehouse of finished goods, based on the average trip 2083273798,962 metesr, based on the maximum trip 3039160047,115 meters, and minimum tirp is 1304563534 , 992 metesr. Order picking is an activity taking goods from storage by the warehouse operator. Determining the point of pickup (order picking) is expected to streamline mileage generated by material handling in the warehouse. Therefore, in this penenlitian determined the position of the point of taking the goods from each product group. The results of calculation of the current warehouse layout, order picking distance needed goods in the warehouse of finished goods is 1970.18 meters. The results of calculation of the finished goods warehouse layout proposed by the method of Dedicated Storage, order picking distance needed goods in the warehouse of finished goods, based on the average trip is 4447,6 meters, based on maximum trip was 4447,6 meters, and minimum trip is 4287 , 82 metesr. The results of calculation of the finished goods warehouse layout proposed by the method of Class Based Storage, order picking distance needed goods in the warehouse of finished goods, based on the average trip is 3377,68 meters, based on maximum trip is 3377,68 meters, and is based on the minimum trip 4287,82 meters.
