Aviation safety and security is the main and most important factor of concern in the aviation industry. The entire process involved in this industry, ranging from the treatment process until the operation of aircraft, moved towards the achievement of a safe flight conditions. This condition is essential to achieve because of any decline in safety levels can potentially lead to accidents. Therefore, security and flight safety is a factor related to each other in the world of aviation. The purpose of the analysis of damage to the aircraft nose radome which serve as the topic of this thesis is to analyze the influence of moisture absorption on the power of face adhesive material to the core material in sandwich structure. The research was conducted by using standard ASTM testing of both studies for the core material and face materials to determine the effect of moisture absorption. Different tests are done is to determine the effect of pressure on moisture absorption. Also also also tested the adhesion between the core material with a face material by using the Climbing Drum Peel Test. The conclusion obtained from this study is the adhesion between the core material and face materials can be influenced by the quality of the alignment during the process of laminating resin and curing temperature control in lamination process which uses a heater which is different. Basically, the level of smoothing resin will affect the level of moisture absorption is very decisive happening / advisability of delamination. |
