Isi artikelHow people meet and master certain challenges in adolescence may have a lasting impact on the remainder of their lives. Intergroup theories of communication offer a unique perspective to aid in the understanding of the complex psychological and communicative dynamics of adolescent interactions. It is suggested that viewing adolescent behavior from an intergroup perspective may permit a better understanding of their communication styles and indicate ways to alleviate problematic talk and miscommunication that are frequently pervasive for this age group.
