Abstract
energy crisis and economic crisis are mostly felt in all parts of the world as a result of depletion of energy sources that can not be updated. In the industrial sector of production that cost of production system will affect the success of a company. cost optimization hot water storage tank in the solar water heating thermal system do in order to obtain the lower production cost of hot water storage tank with the capacity of hot water use is optimum that can be used for 5-7 people without violating the limit. optimization calculation using linear programming where the objective function is minimizing the cost of production hot water storage tank and the constraint is the capacity of hot water that can be used. optimization carried out with the lindo program. The result of optimization calculation cost of production hot waterstorage tank can be reduced by 64% and the overall cost of solar water heating systems can be reduced by 46% from the original price so that the overall cost of solar water heating system can be made with more affordable price.
