Abstract
The aerodynamics characteristic of airfoil at low Reynold number to various angle of attack was studied in this final project. The airfoil model used in this experiment is airfoil type NACA 0012. Experiments were conducted to measure the local pressure distributions on airfoil at various spanwise locations in a Reynolds number 347,848. The pressure distributions were further analyzed to determine the aerodynamics force coefficient using trapezoidal rule of pressure distribution coefficients. Validation of the experiment results conducted by comparing with numerically computing systems. Validation of the result can be obtained that the experimental can be valid to say. The results show that due to the changing of angle of attack on airfoil make a different pressure distribution. It is caused by changing of stagnation point due to changing of angle of attack. In certain angle of attack, dynamic stall phenomenon happens where lift force coefficient decrease significantly.
