Abstract
PT. Surya Jaya Teknik is a company engaged in manufacturing automotive spare parts that produces motorcycles. The scheduling that is applied in this company doesn’t refer to any scheduling method, so an overtime to meet costumer demand often occured. It is therefore necessary to reduce the loss suffered by the company, especially in the financial field. The purpose of this study is to minimize makespan. This method that is used in this study is a method based on the principle of bee colony algorithm. This proposed scheduling method is divided into two stages, namely the generation of software solutions that uses winQSB software and the selection of final solution. At the stage of selecting the last solution, each solution was to be found the ri value. To select the final solution, the selection is done based on the value of ri which is the largest and the resulting makespan of each solution. Solution with largest ri value and smallest makespan becomethe final solution in proposed method. By using the proposed method, a makespan that’s more minimum from the scheduling that was set by the company is obtained, in proposed method makespan reduction by 0.03% of the established method of scheduling company is obtained.
