Abstract
Atma Jay a is one of the well-known private university community in Indonesia. It can be seen on a recent survey of Globe Asia Magazine (2008) that the Atma Jaya gets ranked third among all private universities in Indonesia. The survey was also supported by a survey conducted by the Center for Data and Analysis newest Tempo (2010) which states that Atma Jaya at the national level in fourth as the best private universities according to the perception of prospective students and parents. In a recent survey in 2011, but competition among private universities increasingly stringent, this can be seen from the decreasing number of students enrolled at Atma Jaya in each year, especially in the Department ofElectrical Engineering Prodi.Decrease in the number of students is caused by several possibilities such as the number of private colleges are more and more with excellent promotional strategy by providing attractive offers to prospective students, such as the development of foreign language, and other programs that can be used to obtain as many new students -number. Pesaingan This can be one cause of the decline in public interest or prospective students to enroll in the study program of Electrical Engineering Atma Jaya with an estimated less well known Electrical Engineering Prodi Atma Jaya in the eyes of society and lack of loyalty to the study program of Electrical Engineering Atma Jaya. So in the face of it required an analysis of brand equity Prodi Electrical Engineering Atma Jaya today. Based on the analysis results can be seen that the brand equity of Electrical Engineering Prodi Atma Jaya has a pretty good brand awareness in the minds of consumers. It is seen by ranking brand recall and brand recognition of Electrical Engineering Prodi Atma Jaya who are at the first level. As for top of mind is at the third level. In Perceived Quality, Electrical Engineering Prodi Atma Jaya has a good quality perception in the eyes of respondents. Based on the results of measurements of the association that has been done there are several attributes that can shape the brand image of Electrical Engineering Prodi Atma Jaya, namely: Popularity University, Quality of lecturer (professor), Graduates easily find a job, given quality learning material, Discipline In Brand Loyalty, showed that the loyalty of consumers towards Prodi Electrical Engineering Atma Jaya is quite good. Promotions are done there are still many shortcomings mainly due to competition with other universities that have better promotions and more attractive.
