It is well known that children between the ages of 6 and 15 years acquire language faster than at any other age. However the government has made a correct decision not to give English lessons in state primary schools, because the curriculum there is already too heavy for the children. Yet English result in junior high school are very poor. The reasons can be sought in teacher and text book quality.
