Abstract
One of the planned action in realizing the vision and mission is to conduct performance appraisals. Its also done by reputable construction company in Indonesia, namely PT. Hutama Karya. One example of performance appraisal conducted by PT. Hutama Karya is for employee performance appraisal and assessment for the selection of suppliers / colleagues used. Assessment of performance is not only done for the financial part has always been a major in the success of large and small companies. Therefore any assessment of the overall aspects need to be considered and planned very well. Appropriate method of doing judging the overall performance is the Balanced Scorecard-based method. Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is a management system of measurement, and control that quickly, accurately, and comprehensively can provide insight to managers about business performance. Balanced Scoredcard consists of four perspectives namely financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business process perspective and learning and growth perspective. Fourth pespektif can provide a balance between short-term goals and long term, between desired outcomes with the drivers of the achievement of these results. With the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) conducted the performance appraisal will be more complete and detailed, and therefore the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) proposed to be implemented within the company, where this method serves to create a work performance appraisal system that is able to evaluate the overall performance results and in order to support the company's success can be achieved in accordance with the vision and his mission so far.
