This paper discusses freedom of religion within a theoretical context. The development of theory is important in providing a framework within which we may act. The transition, however, from the philosophical realm to reality is not an easy one, and we must think and work together in order to enact progressive changes and achieve positive growth. Traditional political philosophy provides the basis for analysis of the collectivity and the nature of the state in this paper. Traditional political philosophy has been influenced mostly if not fully by what may be considered "Western though." This by no means implies that ideas relevant to these subjects are limited to such an exclusive sphere of humanity.
