The quality of text-books Indonesian is still greatly in need of improvement. the number available needs to be increased many times over. This applies to all levels of education, but especially to the So and S1 levels in the exact sciences and technology. The development of science and technology in Indonesia needs the support of a system of developing text-books carried out as a part of curriculum development and handle by experts in the specific fields, with help from critical and objective readers to check the material, supported by good editors. This process needs to be done with an adequate provision of time, in conducive conditions and with sufficient equipment.
