Isi artikelEco-labeling program offer a market-based solution to regulated and incorporate consumption and production decisions. In Malaysia, eco-labeling programs have been conducted on a voluntary basis in which eco-labeling can be examined just like, any other advertising decision. Nevertheless, market incentives may fail to function if eco-labeling has a"public good" aspect, which is less likely to be produced voluntarily. Malaysia must also be prepared to look at environmental issues that could affect the global market share. As such, this paper is an attempt to conduct research work in eco-labeling of goods in the context of consumer protection, public and trade policies.
