SME's (Small and Medium Enterprises) play a very important role in Indonesian economics. During Indonesian economics crisis in 1997-1999 which many large companies collapse, SME's shows their performance and become 'the safety exit' for the nation. Their important role for added value processes especially in manufacturing sectors always increase. From 54.51% in year 2000 to 56.72% in year 2003, and growth 4.1-5.1% per year. They also provide 99.45% job for Indonesian and still become the biggest sector providing employment. In spite of the positive development of SME's there were still obstacles face of by SME's. One of the big problems is to compete in global market. Many of SME's can not enter the global market because they were not fulfiled with the requirement, which is high product quality (quality standard). Many of the, also looser their market to become supplier for large companies because they still lack behind in promoting Quality Management Program. This obstacle could be solved by adopting and implementing Quality Management System.
