Indonesia still had large enough potential oil and gas reserves , because of its potential , "ABC Company" foresee its opportunity to extent its commitment in Indonesia as a holder of a production sharing contract for the outcome. "ABC Company" needed to see the value of the economics of a working area and as an act to anticipate in order to meet the interests of the government of Indonesia and also generate profits for the company before making a new investment on its development scenario of new working area. This study objective to review the development scenarios and profit indicators generated from its development scenario as a way to optimize the company in a making investment decisions. Economic evaluation in petroleum industry is quite different because it is dealing with an industry which both the diversity and extent of the technical and environmental risk is often greater than in most other forms of business enterprise. The evaluation was done by using profit indicators and utilize decision tree analyses to quantify the risk. Assessment economics evaluation working area (BTH block) under studied in this thesis indicate BTH block potentially generate attractive returns, considering the contract period is 20 years. "ABC Company" in this case committed to continue to carry out exploration activities and strive to develop those areas to reach the production stage.
