PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk is one of the companies that worked in the supermarket retail industry (supermarkets) where PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk selling various food products and non-food items such as a wide selection of fresh food, daily use products and products for personal needs which the products sold PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk not only various in kinds but also its quantity. To simplify operations, PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk has a central warehouse in Cibitung that run as a products storage that are shipped by the supplier before being distributed to the respective subsidiaries. Product distribution is done through land routes.PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk have a private label for various food products and non-food items such as a wide selection of fresh food, daily use products and products for personal needs which the product named HERO SAVE. In the current system of scheduling the distribution of products - products HERO SAVE done the same with the distribution of products - products that are in the stores - outlets Hero Supermarket, which is about 25 times a month delivery. Delivery scheduling system is equal to the product – other products are not suitable for products perceived - HERO SAVE products because it will lead to accumulation of products in warehouses located in the outlets - outlets Hero Supermarket and also increase distribution costs incurred by PT. Hero Supermarket. Therefore, this study proposes a policy to maximize delivery of goods where the existence of these policies can menggurangi distribution costs incurred by the company and also reduce the accumulation of stuff is happening in the warehouse. This research will use the method ESQ (economical shipment quantity), where this method will provide an estimate of the amount of economic order for the product - HERO SAVE products and also provide scheduling delivery of products - products to the booth SAVE HERO - Hero Supermarket outlets besides calculating the number of palette in order to reduce the amount of accumulation of product in the warehouse. ESQ method produces distribution costs amounted Rp 32,316,930,770.25 per year and distribution costs for products HERO SAVE it was reduced by Rp 26,370,291,778.45 per year. Thus the proposed scheduling delivery of products by ESQ method can provide savings in product distribution for the company and should be considered to apply to the company. |
