The aim of this study is to determine the association between hypertension in pregnancy and neonate's Apgar score. Design of the study is case control. cases are all pregnant women with hypertension laboring in Atma Jaya hospital's war between January 1st, 2004 and December 31st, 2008. Exclusion criteria used in this study is mother with neonate under 37 weeks of gestation. Subject of this study are 137 cases and 137 control. data was analyzed with Chi-square test using SPSS 17.0. Most of the population in this study are multigravide and age between 20-35 years old. As conclusion, hypertension in pregnancy and Apgar score in the first and fifth minute are not significantly related.
