Abstract
Raw material control system should be considered to optimize the company's performance. Control of raw material are to fulfill the production requirements as well as the buffer stock to anticipate unexpected any case from the master plan. PT GKD always try to provide the best in terms of satisfying consumer demand,but company performance is not optimum. This evident from the persistence of shortages of raw materials needed, where the availability of company owned smaleer ammount than the requires needs. Order of raw material is accepted from order for wire product with Material Requirement Planning (MRP) calculation every week. Results of calculation MRP are used as input to the inventory method. Inventory initial system in used is the inventory system Q,r for the backorder case. This method calculation size from economic order lot(Q) and reorder point (R). It using some iteration calculation to have the reorder point value (r) and static total cost calculation of raw material is Rp 35.848.009.061,55 and the cost of raw material procurement is 2.835.865.691,29. It means cost obtained from the Q,r method higher than capital for raw material company’s is Rp 2.500.000.000,00. Based on case, inventory model that will be used is inventory model with capital There are two suggested methods to calculate the capital limit, so the company can fulfill the capital constraint. Inventory system with Lagrange Multipliers uses the lagrange Multipliers constanta which fuction is to optimize the calculation of the inventory in its iterations. Inventory sistems with LIMIT uses the LIMIT constanta (M) which shows the percentage comparison between the capital cost of the company with the capital of the purpose from the result of calculation from adapting model (Q,r). The annual cost of Lagrange method is Rp 35.847.842.124,25 and the cost of raw material procurement is Rp 2.158.962.338,34. LIMIT methods does not need iterations in its calculation, which the total annual cost is Rp 35.848.130.730,00 and the cost of the raw material procurement is Rp 2.408.936.841,96. Based on the company purpose that is minimized the annual cost of raw material procurement, therefore the selected method is Lagrange Multipliers, with cost savings of Rp 341.037.661,66 from capital constraint of company.
