Measurement of rocket telemetry radio signal is quite important in order to know the relation between quality of signal and received data. This powermeter can also be applied for detecting the azimuth and elevation angles of rocket trajectory using array yagi antenna, which have been developed previously. The powermeter from a commercial radio have narrow range measurement and can be saturated for measurement of high power radio. This article discuss the design and development of digital powermeter for detecting signal radio from rocket telemetry system with maximum measurement of 1 watt and being convertible according to the requirement. The measurement method is base on logarithmic amplifier with bandwidth up to 100 decibel with accuracy of about 0.02 decibel.
