Abstract
PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk is the one of the companies that worked in the supermarket retail industry (supermarke s) in Indonesia. PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk has several subsidiaries namely Hero, Giant Supermarket, Giant Hypermarket, Guardian and StarmartMinimarket. In the retail industry is the availability of goods is important because it determines the ordering process or the procurement of products is very important that it needs to be regulated properly for the existing inventory in warehouse no over and under. In the current system in making reservations to meet the needs of all its subsidiary companies based on historical data and forecast sales. Therefore, companies often have overstock or understock. Besides, the system still processes bookings made manually. Where in an order the customer must visit the front desk Hero to make a purchase. And also in the delivery of reservations from the front desk to Hero. Hero is still the center so that the paper based ordering information is not always conveyed by both the number of reservations resulting in inaccuracies. Thus information systems used in the company can not give information quickly and accurately. Based on the research that has been conducted, the research is designed to improve existing information systems. The proposed information system uses FAST method. Proposed sales if there is a shortage of inventory will be allowed. From the results obtained probabilistic methods case back orders have a total cost of a smaller supply of Rp 51,866,673,572, while the results of the probabilistic method of cases lost sales amounted to Rp 51,868,290,606. When compared to the total inventory cost of the method to back orders and current methods of 7%. Thus the proposed method for inventory to provide savings for the company and should be considered to apply to the company and also with this system to convey information quickly and accurately.
