Hero Supermarket, Tbk is one of the companies that worked in the supermarket retail industry (supermarkets) where PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk selling various food products and non-food items such as a wide selection of fresh food, daily use products and products for personal needs which the products sold PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk not only various in kinds but also its quantity. Tosimplify operations, PT. Hero Supermarket, Tbk has a central warehouse in Cibitung that run as a products storage that are shipped by the supplier before being distributed to the respective subsidiaries. Product distribution is done through land routes. In the current system, each month the purchase of the center will hold a reservation to meet the needs of all its subsidiary companies where the order quantity based on historical data and forecast sales. Therefore, companies often have overstock or understock as a result of inaccuracies in the order quantity. Order quantity inaccurac occurs because the company can not predict demand for products that are uncertain (variable). Thus, the companies need to know the factors that affect a product request and use an inventory method to orders quantity so that are not based on an estimate that led to understock or overstock. This study attempts to improve the company's current inventory system with the proposed 2 types of inventory methods, the method of probabilistic inventory Q for the case of lost sales and inventory methods for the stochastic joint replenishment cases where the use of these methods depends on the type of product, classified as fast moving or slow moving . Determination of type of product using ABC analysis to determine the level of importance of the product because as it is known that not all goods have this level of interest and use of the same, therefore it is to achieve the level of an efficient inventory control that not all types of goods will be controlled in the same way. Fast moving products will use the Q inventory method for the case of Lost sales on the basis that customers do not want to wait until the product is available at Hero Supermarket, so the company will lose profits that should come from the sales while slow moving product supplies methods is using for the case of Joint Repenishment stokastis with ordering the merger consideration will minimize the cost of supplies The proposed method supplies provide total inventory cost is smaller than the total cost of inventory companies where there is a difference of Rp. 548,512,528.00.
