The research about usability tools software SPSS 18 for multivariate analysis was conducted to determine the ease of use of SPSS 18 when working on multivariate analysis. Dimensions of usability that will be studied in this research include efficiency, effectiveness, memorability, errors and satisfaction. The dimensions of usability will be assessed from the user side when using the software SPSS 18 in work on the problems on multivariate analysis. The research conducted on 26 students majoring in industrial engineering faculty of engineering Atma Jaya Catholic University. Criteria of research subjects are students who already have passed TKI 221 Industrial Statistics I, TKI 224 Industrial Statistics II, and TKI 335 Industrial Statistics Practice. Experiment (usability testing) will be done by providing an objective test 1, test objective 2 and objective test 3. Assessment of the experiments conducted will be recorded into the rating form. The data obtained will be objective data (from a rating form) and subjective data regarding respondent preferences when using SPSS 18 (from questionnaire preference.) Objective data will be used for assessment of the dimensions of efficiency, effectiveness, memorability and error. Subjective data are used for assessment of the dimensions of satisfaction. Data processing was done with the normality test and test of the mean. Processing this data will be done by using the software MINITAB 14. Based on research results, will be obtained by evaluating the efficiency, effectiveness, memorability, errors and satisfaction with use of SPSS 18 software. Therefore, it can be done on SPSS 18 software usability assessment on multivariate analysis. |
