A considerable number of studies, both by Indonesian and non-Indonesian alike, have been conducted on the dynamics of migration among the Indonesians. This essay is a bibliographical study on the subjects, and intended to present an overview of the internal as well as external migration among the Indonesians. Migration can be regarded as something "natural", but it deserves certain management as it is closely related to the economic development and social change of the people.
