This paper explores local polities in the frame of Indonesia united government. In the reformation era, political elites and executives have agreed on the based relationship between national and local government democratically and effectively to serve civil society and the state. Formerly, there was tendentious that the central government enjoyed subordinating the local elites in three ways hegemony, domination and exploitation. The paper argues the misconception practices on local politics under subordinate of national elite; bureaucratization of local politics; centralism of political party power versus local politics; people become victim of state domination toward local politics; democratization and affectivity of local politics. These sub topics will be discussed further on this paper.
