Pancasila is the basic national ideology of the Republic of Indonesia which as a multi-ethnic state always desires to firmly stand as a unitarian state. The spirit of nationalism has achieved successfully when the youthful came together to take a resolution by declaring "Sumpah Pemuda" on the 28 October 1928. It eventually reached the culminating-point on the 17th August of 1945, as known as the Indonesian Independence day and regarded as as the manifestation of the national revolution. It succeeded to forget the primordial differences and built up and united nation for a prosperous future based on Pancasila and constitution of 1945. However, in its historical journey, apparently the national integration has faced many challenges and obtacles. The objective of the research is to describe the national ideology Pancasila. The data primarily collected from library research and analyzed descriptively. It is hoped that the results of the research will give the confidence to the nation that Pancasila remains as a powerful national ideology of the Republic Indonesia.
