Conclusion. Society demands much of its young people, and it demands much of institutions of higher education by requiring that they prepare the next generation for success in a world that grows more complex, more interdependent and more information-driven. It is fair to make demands on our institutions of higher education, but making such demands implies a responsibility on our part. For the institutions to meet the obligations we place upon them, we must give them the tools to succeed — tools that can provide institutions with the data needed to measure institutional effectiveness and better plan for student progress related to information literacy. The ETS ICT Literacy Assessment is such a tool. |
