Isi artikel
In the following I will address three topics related to the demographic dynamics of population aging around the world. They deal with innovative ways of measuring age, of modeling the uncertainty of future population aging, and of capturing the changing composition of the elderly population with respect to the level of educational attainment. While the methods for doing so in the form of stochastic and multi-state population projections have been part of the demographic tool box for some time, the broad-based applications to data covering most countries of the world are new and provide a new handle on the study of global population aging and its implications.
