Isi artikel
The airport-common modeling and simulation infrastructure (A-CMSI) is both a modeling and execution environment aimed at experimenting with and validating solutions for improving airport ground movements. The infrastructure is currently built by integrating a set of existing or newly designed simulators, each specialized for a different component of the simulated airport system. The infrastructure provides a Java graphical user interface (GUI) allowing for the description of the expected simulation conditions and interaction with the simulation execution. Both integration and collaborative design are achieved using the Department of Defense’s high-level architecture (HLA). This paper discusses the facilities offered by the GUI and presents the architecture of the airport modeling and simulation infrastructure being developed. The authors then focus on the usefulness of HLA in both collaborative design and joint experimentation domains.
