Kahlil Gibran is a poet, philosopher, and an artist who dedicated most of his works to Jesus. Kahlil Gibran is a genius who dedicated his life to art and literature. He has always been and remained fascinated with Jesus Christ throughout his whole life. He was born in Lebanon, many people assume that he was a Muslim, but actually he was a Christian. Created by Kahlil Gibran in 1928; Jesus the Son of Man shows and reveals the human side that Jesus had when He was still alive. As we know from the Bible Jesus was a God that came to the world and lived as a human. Gibran wants to show Jesus in His essential humanity using Gibran’s own imagination and combines it with the Biblical stories. Gibran shows his sensitivity when giving life to the voices of those who knew Jesus, who were close to Him, but also of those who knew Him only partially, or did not know Him at all (Miclaus, 2008). |
