Abstract
There are many ways to learn English, by watching television or listening to the radio or reading books. Shortly, any kinds of media could help to learn English. There are three types of media which are audio such as a radio, visual such as magazines and audio-visual such as television. People mostly like television, because they will not only hear the sounds, they also could see the colourful pictures, casts, texts, etc. There are also many things that can be shown through a television, such as
video movies. Because of this reason, as teachers, we could use this benefit to teach English using a video movie. Seeing or watching video movies through a televisionwill always be interesting for the students, because besides hearing the sounds or
dialog clearer they also seeing the expressions, colours, pictures, etc. This kind of activity could stimulate the students in comprehension ability as Lonergan (1984) states that:
