Abstract
Absenteeism is very useful to know the participation of a person and whether the person is enrolled in a community or not. Usually used absenteeism in schools, universities, offices, and others. Attendance system places this way varied depending on the needs. Absenteeism in the school system would differ with the attendance system at work and at univertas. Attendance system in particular on the class attendance of students usually use paper for student attendance in the classroom as student attendance data, student names, courses, faculty name, class section, and others. Applied in the Department of Industrial Engineering, UNIKA Atmajaya for students taking these courses.
With a design based attendance system online. System used in the lecture room by using tools such as computer / smartphone. This system works when the lecturer who will teach students by way of the roll call one by one student's name listed in the list of absent students and faculty mark the present name in the computer/smartphone. If attendance has been completed to lecturers to submit only after that the data will be sent to the server automatically. Online attendance system designed according to the proposal and design using software such as XAMPP, PHPAdmin. Absenteeism can be used online by using the computer or smartphone
