Abstract
A large amount of the potensial of cow manure in Indonesia as raw material for biogas is untapped, even evoke pollution and environmental health
problem because of the farmer throw away cow manure into the river. The use of biodigester can help to develop farming systems by recycling the cowdung for biogas production and other product like organic fertilizer with good quality.
Nevertheless the use of conventional biodigester was not easy for small scale farmer due to high cost, lack of skilled labor and the complicated maintenance. This objective of this research were to analyze how much gas can be produced per day by digester, the total energy that can be produced per day, and the ideal temperatur should be given to Digester so the production of gas is optimal.
The results showed that at the greater temperatures, can shorten the fermentation time in the digester . So overall the methane methane gas in cow manure can be produced in a short time.
