This article aims at explaining the fortune of Islamism. several scholars contend that Islamism has failed in spite of the stattements of several other scholars to the contrary. They argue that no Islamist group has taken over a government of a country, expect in Iran, Sudan, and Afganistan. But in Iran and Sudan, the Islamists have failed to run their respective country according to Islamist groups had resorted to violence and terrorism in their power for a short time. Some Islamist groups had resorted to violence and terrorism in their bid to take over a state but it was all to no avail.
