Acceleration in various fields, made a lot of changes in human social life. One of the things that affected is a person’s attitude towards his/her job. In the old days, work is being seen as a way to sustain life. However, in the present time, work has become something more than just a way to survive. A person commitment (organizational) to their work environment has become an essential matter that ought to be analyze. From a variety of factors that are considered influential, leadership style with business transformational and (psychological) empowerment of the employees is considered to have a positive influence in increasing the employee organizational commitment. In this research, three variables will be examined with the goal to identify the influence both of transformational leadership style and psychological empowerment towards organizational commitment. Research conducted with the empirical analysis using regression techniques. Research results indicate that transformational leadership has influence on organizational commitment, but on the other hand, psychological empowerment has no influence. But combined together, transformational leadership and psychological empowerment have influence on organizational commitment, with coefficient determination of 43.7%. |
