Isi artikelThis study investigated the effect of gender strereotypes on evaluator judgments of unethical behavior. Subjects were working adults who complited a mailed survey in which they evaluated unethical behavior depicted in written scenarios. Sex of the transgressor in the scenarios was manipulated. Both quantitative and qualitative analysesindicated that there are no stable defference in evaluations of men and women across scenario. These results suggest that evaluators do not hold differents standarts of ethical behavior, they do not make different causal attributions for the behavior of mennand women, nor do evaluators treat men and women differently when ethical transgression has been commited
