Abstract
PT.Mulia Knitting Factory is a textile industry company in a garment area. The production in the domestic department is conducted through the calculation of selling historical data that is ‘make to stock’ in nature, as for the clothing selling department , the production is more to ‘make to order’ in nature. Furthermore for export department, the production is done based on order from the costumers which is ‘make to order’. In the clothing selling department there has been an issue regarding the fulfillment of order that arrive based on the due date therefore as it happens most of the time there will be negotiations occur with the consumers to determine the exact sending time for the order (exceeds the due date). This is caused by the unavailability of the structurized scheduling system so that the company is unable to predict when will the order is completed. If this issue continues to happen then it will affect the
consumers’ trust towards the company. This research used the Genetic Algoritma Heuristic scheduling method, where the result of the scheduling is closed to maximum.
Algoritma Genetic is a method which is used to maximized by using different kind of chromosome permutation. The chromosome in this research is made of a group of jobs in a particular time. The chromosome permutations are done to have a
better chromosome result. The choromosome permutations are done through selection process with wheel roulette, crossover process with multi step crossover and mutation process. The uniqueness of this process for the crossover and mutations which are done in this research is the existence of the fitness value in children’s chromosome calculation. The calculation is purposed to ensure that the children’s chromosome
that are resulted are always better or at least the same as it was before The scheduling criteria that has become the fitness value in this algoritma is a mean tardiness and mean flow time value, where the percentage of the tardiness value is bigger (60%) compare to the mean flow time value (40%).
The result of the production of fitness value of the actual scheduling is smaller compared with the results of the proposed scheduling. The results of the calculation of the actual scheduling makespan value is greater compared with the results of the
proposed scheduling. The actual scheduling by the company to produce 140,364 day makespan value, fitness value of 25,807 days, while the proposed scheduling makespan value and 131,779 day fitness value of 33,925 days. Having done the
analysis and comparison of the actual scheduling is done manually and using the proposed scheduling applications scheduling program, it was found that the proposed scheduling better and takes a lot faster. Time efficiency by using the scheduling
application program can accelerate the process of negotiating with the consumer.
