Isi artikel
It has been argued that ’leadership’ is seen as being centrally synonymous with school effectiveness (Teddlie and Reynolds, 2000) and yet there is comparatively little evidence of the effects of leadership on school outcomes (Bell and Bolam, 2003). More specifically, studies of principalship in Hong Kong have tended to be conducted in the quantitative tradition (Wong and Ng, 2003). This article provides a brief and, therefore, necessarily circumscribed exegesis of a study that gained the accolade of being one of the highest rated MBAs in Educational Management submissions of its year at the University of Leicester. It employed a case study approach with a significant element of qualitative inquiry and focused on the principal of a highly successful institution in Hong Kong.
