Field research in Chiapas, Mexico, and Huehuetenango, Guatemala, has led to the discovery and documentation of a previously unreported dialect of Tzeltal. The dialect is labeled Southeastern Tzeltal, located in space with a detailed map of the region in which it is found, and described with respect to phonology and lexicon as part of a report on the reinterpreted and revised Tzeltal dialectology.
