Isi artikelThe purpose of this study was to explore gender differences in relationships between perceived partner acceptance and psychological adjustment in relation to remembered parental acceptance in childhood. One hundred thirty-three college students in Korea participated in the study. Data were collected via questionnaires and were analyzed using correlations and regression. Results showed that respondents’ perceptions of their intimate partners’ acceptance were positively correlated with their psychological adjustment. Results also showed that there were gender differences in the relationships between perceived partner acceptance and psychological adjustment. Gender differences were also found in the relationship between remembered parental acceptance in childhood and psychological adjustment.
