In this issue, several current and former members of the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE’s) Commission on the Role and Status of Women refocus attention on CSWE’s commitment to using its accreditation standards to improve gender equity and curricula in schools of social work. Although these authors are not entirely satisfied with the efforts that CSWE is making in its pursuit of equality for women in social work education, they are cognizant that accreditation processes remain the best bet for garnering improvements in the future.
