Employees is one of the resources that are important to be well managed for reaching the purpose of an organization. Management of human resources in an organization is a continue process of development so that the development in the work itself can be a maximum accordingly towards the goal of the organization. One of the management format and development of human resources is through the training program. In an organizations community, training is a learning process in each levels of employees. Within the training, there are the three elements need to be developed, i.e: skills, knowledge and ability. New Employee Orientation Program /NEOP is one of the training program to train and to give the orientation for the employee. This program is intended to the new employee as the tools to adjust their self with the company expectation and to maximize the needed skills to run their on-going job.Recently, some companies have conducted similar training to explore their employees, and PT. KN has some trainings which include NEOP.NEOP ever held is focused on all staffs and the goal is to introduce them about the overall company detail, such as what is KN, about its vision and mission, the unit KN's business and goals to be achieved by the employees. However, nowadyas PT. KN would like to put more emphasis to the orientation work coming out from the competencies of each department in the organization. The main target audience of this training is every new staff who will follow NEOP. NEOP program starts from the supporting divisions that endorse the growing business, one of which is the Manufacturing Division. Inside the Manufacturing Division there is Department of Quality Assurance which is divided into Department of Quality Control and Quality System. In the Department of Quality Control Section itself, there are several section includes the Laboratory Section. This section’s main function is to do the analysis of the samples as the ingredients for the nutritions. As such, this section holds vital roles in maintaining the manufactured products quality. This orientation program is emphasis more on how the works in its area made based on the competencies that applies in the laboratory area. The target audience are new employees who will be the staffs in the laboratory area. Researchers conducts numbers of analysis occurred in the laboratory area and finds problem about the time management and some difficulties to identify the causes of the problems that occur which affect the accuracy of the results of their work. From the analysis of problems occurred, the researchers attempts to create a module training to minimize problems happened at the new laboratory staffs. Stages in creating training modules for researchers is intended to achieve the goal. After the training module is created, it requires validation from some of the expert for the evaluation. The validation process named the expert judgment is required to know whether the module created by the researchers is meeting goals to be achieved to overcome the problems going through the learning process in the program training. Based on the validation result, researchers’ training modules does not make significant changes, only have a few entries on the content of training that goes with the purposes and effective of the training can be achieved. Based on the validity results of test which have been made, the training modules researchers created has fulfilled the stated purpose of orientation training for new jobs laboratory assistant and then could be used to find out the effectiveness of established training modules. The evaluation module through the expert judgment then become a reference for researchers to write some recommendations that can be used by PT. KN in the next in the running of this training. Recommendations submitted by the researcher includes activities that could improve the effectiveness of training modules such as: to use the observation method with a key behavior guideline on the TNA, the usage of more structural literature study for the developing material in the training modules, the presence of all parties to discuss the training modules in the validation process to get a firmed decision, the needs for implementing the training programs based on training modules have been made and the trainers who understand the contents of the training modules. |
