This research done for a certain purposes to count and to classify the Body Mass Index (BMI) of female teenagers, and also to track the cause of the relationship between economical status and young teenagers activity towards Overweight and Underweight. For the teenagers, especially female teenagers, Overweight or Underweight will influence their physical appearance and it’s undeniable that appearance also influence how the individual look at himself/herself and at the end will influence their self concept. Self Concept could be define as individual perception about himself/herself which includes of physical quality, and social quality as the result of individual experience interacting with her surroundings. That is why, a method to measure a persone’s nutrient status. Method that is often being used to measure obesity is Body Mass Index (BMI) which can be count by dividing body weight (Kgs) with quadrate of body height (ms). The data in this this research collected by filling the measurement form which consist of identity data and research data which is needed in this research. The data consists of 390 datas of female teenagers from the age 13-18 years old in Jakarta. To count the data is helped with software minitab14. Statistical testing which used is descriptive statistical, normality testing, One Way Anova and Tukey testing, and proportional testing. Based on the result of the research then the nutrient status of female teenagers in Jakarta, and the relationship between economical status and physical activity of female teenagers towards Body Mass Index. |
