You had to see it to believe it. I mean, we’re sitting there, thirty-odd people in this new class, and I really can’t think I’m the only one here wondering what exactly qualitative research is all about and why has he just walked in carrying a box of coat hangers? Why? And what has any of this got to do with this book he wanted us to read? He stands there for a while without a single word of explanation and then he quotes some guy called Stenhouse and says “I have a fear of lecturing lest you believe me.”
