We would like to thank all the soldiers and marines in Iraq for taking the time while serving in a combat zone to complete our surveys and to share with us their very candid assessments during focus group interviews. We also want to thank all of those who made the Mental Health Advisory Team (MHAT) IV possible: the operational and medical planners; the mental health care providers from the Army and Navy, who assisted with the survey administration; and the headquarters personnel at the Multi-National Force–Iraq (MNF-I), who supported and encouraged us during this assessment. We are particularly indebted to Col. Brian Allgood, the MNF-I Staff Surgeon, whose unwavering support and leadership was essential for the success of the MHAT IV; we could not have done it without him.
