The prevalence of anemia among Indonesia school children is still high amounting to 30-40%. In the community where protein intake is sufficient such as in fisherman community, but intake of iron and vitamin C is lacking, supplementing children with iron in combination with vitamin C could be an effective intervention. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of iron supplementation in combination with vitamin C to increase hemoglobin levels of elementary school children.
