This study examines the phenomenon of code-mixing among educated Yoruba-English bilinguals. It addresses the questions of the frequency of switches from one language to the other, the predictability of such switches, the susceptibility of particular word classes to switching, and the relationship between language mixing and linguistic borrowing.
