This research will highlight how accountability mechanism of DIY Province LOD in supervising th~ accomplishment of public service. Subject of this research are Ombudsman, Ombudsman assistant, secretar) staff of DIY Province LOD, bureaucrat of Local Government of DIY Province, the member of DIY Provmc Parlemen, public and public-social organization, press and academicians. The data collect method that use in thi1 research are interview, observation and documentation. Results ofthis research show that accountability mechanism of D1Y Province LOD has generally worked well, imeans that LOD has formally and informally accomplished ‘its accountability mechanism. Formally, DP~ Province LOD has accomplished its accountability mechanism through its annual report and periodic report Informally, three mechanism of task accomplishement have been performed well, therefore most cases have been solved. Medium and various activity form have been also used to openly to express its accountability public as a means its accountability mechanism instrument.
