The objective of this study is to know the difference between the level of commercial banks’ Indonesia non performing loan, capital adequacy, liquidity, profitability, and efficiency. This study also intent know the effect among performance non performing loan (NPL) to commercial bank performance. Research object on this thesis is commercial banks Indonesia. The empirical analysis uses a unique data set by taking samples of each group of banks scale which cover the post financial crisis from 2002 to 2006. Analysis method that is utilized is two-way analysis of variance, stepwise regression, and simple/multiple linear regression. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of non-performing Loans (NPLs) and its impacts to private-commercial banks’ overall performance in Indonesia. Since Loans is one of the products which contribute the important role in determining the success of the banks, the result of this research will be expected to describe the trend of the NPL in relation with the banks’ performance and the possible factors which affected the results (internally and externally). |
