Professionals who work with children and adolescents who have developmental disabilities find themselves working with several other profesionals on various "teams" These teams are typically composed of goal of providing comperhensive patient care. Reasearch on medical and psychosocial teams confirms the overwheliming importance of clarity, commitmen, and close positive exchanges among team members to promoting successful team wor. the effectiveness of team largely depends on how the profesional work to accomplish meeting the need the needs of their patients. this articles reviews multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches to delivering health care to children and adolescent who have developmental disabilities.
