Isi artikelPT. SNC is a manufacture company that moves in Industrial Packaging. The main product is Textile Tubes, Film Cores, Paper Mill Cores and General Cores. So many company move in the same field. It makes company should be produce a good quality product. To make the company have strength in the market, PT. SNC has to produce a good quality product, in which meet customer specification. Therefore it needs implementation of six-sigma method to produce a good quality product, which meet customer specification through process improvement. This Process Improvement have purpose to rise up a good quality product without produce a lot of defect product. Six-sigma implementation in this research just implemented in Spiral Winding process. The parameter, which used in six-sigma implementation, is pieces. Six-sigma implementations have five steps, there is define, measurement, analyze, improve and control. This research need six moth to finished the research.The six-sigma methods implemented in process level. In the define step it need to have a problem statement. The problem statement is to reduce critical quality big OD for Spiral Winding process. In the measurement step, it need to calculate gage R&R, process capability and process performance. In analyze step it need to analyze variation (ANOVA) for gage R&R and part value. Analyze homogeneity variation for gage R&R and part value. And the last it need to analyze capability process value. In improvement step it need to do experiments design with 2 factors. The two factors is Creel Stand angel andTension Bar for Spiral Winding. In control step it need to calculate process capability based on improvement result. In this step it make a process controlling for 13 days. The final result from six-sigma implementation for Spiral Winding at PT.SNC is rising up a sigma level to 4.605 and reduced to 0.049. The cost can be save by company because a poor quality is about Rp. 27.520.000.
